happy birthday to me
- was at the gym early tuesday morning, accidentally fell off the bosu ball and landed on my ankle
- Luckily colleen was there and helped me bandage the ankle up.
- I spent a whole day limping around thinking that the swelling and the pain will go away soon.
- Apparently i was dead wrong. by the time i got home from work, late, the boy took off the bandage, took one look, and said, we're going to see a doctor in the morning.
- The next morning, i spent 4 hrs in the urgent care, getting my foot x-rayed.
- It was my birthday that day.
- Found out that I've fractured a bone and am in splint and on crutches now. Apparently, God's lesson for my 28th birthday is "PATIENCE".
- Oh well life goes on, just take one day at a time. The upside of this is that work is so busy that i can take my mine off the ankle and focus on work.
- The boy got me a set of mechanic tools for my birthday. I am super excited as i got what wanted.
- The injury also showed me how the boy can take care of me so well... i'm so not use to being taken care of, but it was a nice feeling.
- Like my mom said over the phone, "now you gonna learn to let other ppl take care of you instead of running around like you're invincible all the time." Mom is always right.
- Wednesday is also the final farewell to a dear friend of mine. bye bye st. louis hello pittsburg for him. i hope you find happiness wherever you are.
- Woke up at 6am this morning to a ringing cellphone. The client is calling me from geneva. I had to walk her thru how to unzip some files. sigh. whatever keeps the client happy, right?!
- Had dim sum with Kat, Jes, Melissa, Jack and abunch of others. It was great food and great company. And also boy's first time at dim sum. I wanted beef tripe but they don't cook that in the soupy style that i like. oh well.
- What i miss most is driving. Bought myself an early birthday gift (actually the lease was up on the Jetta) and not being able to drive it just kills me!
- I can't wait till my tuesday appt with the orthopedic dr. I need a walking cast soon.
