rule of thumb
My man told me that couple of young guys in his bay have been chatting with him about the problems they are facing with their girlfriends back home.

ryan: "well, in our household, we have just this one rule."

young airmen: "what's that?"

ryan: "It takes two Yeses and one No"

young airmen: "huh? Whaddya mean by that?"

ryan: "Well, whatever decision you make, if it effects the both of you, use this rule, two Yeses and one No. "

... 5 minutes later of head scratching and thinking ....

young airmen with an enlightened look on their faces: "Aaaahh...."

I do think it is a good rule of thumb. I don't know when this rule was "enforced", but that has been the way we operate... It works incredibly well because it made both of us involved in the decision-making process, and that we are EQUALLY important in deciding what's okay and what's not.

I love my man.

how much is too much?!
I'm pretty pissed off at two of the four St. Louis local news stations websites.
  1. KMOV.com. Sometime last year or two years ago it started requiring registration to read the news on there. Screw that, I'm outta there. I'm not gonna give you some email address for you to spam the hell out of your registered readers. Plus it's not like I can't get the same news somewhere else.

  2. KSDK.com. I've been on there on and off, usually to catch some interesting local news, but mainly for local weather and the allergy index. I think it was this past few days, they embedded an audio track on their homepage with a short announcement of what's the news special of that day... or something like that. It scared the sh|t out of me when I first heard that. First of all it's loud, and it is disturbing. I am very annoyed by that. Gotta go find a link and send in my remarks. Hmmph.

Audi's turn
Contradicting Audi's Never Follow philosophy, Audi.de is following BMW's footstep in making short films about its cars. Directed by Wim Wenders (of Million Dollar Hotel and Paris, Texas fame), this is a nifty mini movie titled "The Other Side Of The Road"

Very very cool. But then again, you all know I am biased towards any VW/Audi brand :)
