Not worth the money
If your sole purpose of wanting to watch Serving Sara is to see a beautiful, leggy English woman in killer accent, and a chubby 'friends', then by all means, go see it. If you have too much money to blow, go see it. Oh wait, I'd rather you give me the money.

All I can say is, wait for the video.

In the mean time, I'm back on my couch, deciding if I should watch Clerks or The Professional first. Yeap, finally got my hands on the Professional, but not the special edition that Yoshi mentioned. All they have is the regular and LTBX edition, which I later found out stands for Letterbox (wide screen with two black strips across the top and bottom).

Still can't find Muriel's Wedding.
Whew!
I got up at this morning. Was fumbling for my cellphone to see what time it was. Realized that my cellphone was dead. I have a flip phone, the Samsung 8500 (for the Sprint PCS network). Every time I flip it shut, it'll turn the phone off. Very very annoying. I then called Sprint PCS customer service and apparently, I could either go buy a new phone, or have them replace my phone with a refurbished phone for a mere $35, however, I need to mail the phone to them either way. But I can't do without my phone! Plus I'm traveling this coming weekend so I really can't give it up. I've been trying to tinker with the batteries to see what's wrong. *Wish me luck*

Oh, noticed I'm blogging... my phone lines back up again. The technician came and fixed it at around 11am, apparently one of the clips on the wire in the box outside has gotten loose. But he put in a tester plate thingy for me so I can have a direct connection to the outside line - I can test the phone line next time to see if it's the inside or outside line that' having a problem. Cool! At least the morning didn't start off too bad.

Serious Withdrawal
My phone line is down. Shoot. I am suffering serious withdrawal symptoms... luckily the club house has two computer with dial-up access. So I promptly sit my ass down here and started checking emails and blogs.

Tomorrow morning is going to be a long one. I usually rely on the internet to entertain me on Saturday mornings. I wish I have a laptop with wi-fi right about now. :( Maybe I'll just spend the morning playing Roller Coaster Tycoon instead. That'll make the time fly by...
Movie Night
It's nearly 6pm on a friday evening, and I am still at my desk trying to finish up some loose end in order to get this project out the door on Monday.

I'm trying to decide what I want to do tonight. Frankly, I'm tired. I barely slept at all for the past two nights. I'm telling ya, caffeine just kills my sleep. I think I'm going to rent a couple of movies for tonight, probably Muriel's Wedding, or Ronin, or even Office Space. Tomorrow I'll be going to a matinee chick flick with a co-worker of mine. We're going to see Serving Sara.

After two nights of excitement (the meetup and the Rams game), I gotta get used to a quiet night at home. But I can't help feeling bored.

Updated: 8/24 sat.
Went to Blockbuster on Dorsett after work and workout. The place was packed. Found Clerks, Office Space. They didn't have The Professionals on VHS, and getting the DVD means I'll have to sit in front of the computer instead of on the couch for the entire movie. I'll pass, no thanks. Couldn't find Ronin. Ended up renting The Sweetest Thing (a really lousy chick flick, despite the cast) and Clerks. Oh, I also caught Karate Kid on HBO. Loved that movie.
Rams, friends, it's all good
It was late in the afternoon and I was checking out some updates the couple of the blog sites that I frequent. Found out that Ryan has extra tickets to the Rams pre-season game. Couple of emails and phone calls later, Ben, Ryan and I met up at Central West End to go to the Dome together. Via Metrolink. I was actually quite excited because, lil' ol' me here has never been on the Metrolink even though I've been in St. Louis for two years. I just never had the need to, since I lived out in the West County area. Definitely an eye opener for me. I kept the ticket stubs to be scanned in the morning.

The Rams game was okay. Their playing sucks. The Dome looked smaller compared to what we see on TV. The company was really good though. Like they said: three geeks talking about sports. Can't beat that. :) We have good seats too... row M, so about 12-13 rows deep from the right corner of the end zone. Those cheerleaders are always in the view. Hehehe. Oh, I have the stubs too waiting to be scanned. Photos and videos are on Ryan's digicam.

Sometimes I feel like I'm out of the element when them two start to talk about stuffs that are beyond my comprehension - whether geek related or not. Don't get me wrong. I think I learned a lot just from listening to their conversations. But it helps to keep reminding myself: that I am who I am, and I should be comfortable with it.

Thanks again for those tickets!

I know I got my priorities all screwed up. I got home, tired, eyelids barely opened. I'm suppose to remove my contacts, take a shower and go to sleep. But then I ended in front of the computer, checking my emails and blogs. Bleh.

A caffeine buzz at nine makes for a very long night
I was at Starbucks a while ago, and I don't know what came over me, but I ordered my favorite Starbucks drink - the Mocha Frapp. Three hours later, I can still feel my head getting all buzzed up and refusing to shut down for the day. *smack forehead* I just remembered I had this meeting at 1pm tomorrow that I don't want to skip out. After-lunch meetings are usually a total disaster for me; after-lunch meetings after a sleepless night would be even worse. The good thing is I will be having a break from the cafeteria food tomorrow, as I've managed to convince my bi-weekly lunch buddy to take me out to lunch instead.

I've lined up a good list of movies that I want to rent for the next couple of weekends:
  • Clerks

  • Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back (notice a pattern here? Kevin Smith. His movies are hilarious. My all time favorite: Dogma)

  • Ronin ("If you love Audi, you gotta watch this." - Ryan)

  • Muriel's Wedding (Again, "If you love Abba, you gotta watch this." - Eric. S.)
Sure beats watching the rerun of The Truth About Cats and Dogs on HBO for the 10th time. (not that it's not a great movie, it is.)

The return of my childhood
I was blog-surfing when I happened to stumble upon Julie's digital jaz site via Psychodaisy. And guess what I saw?!?!

A news article announcing the return of He-Man!!!

I nearly fell out of my chair when I read that. I loved He-Man and She-Ra when I was young, and these were my must-see cartoons, along side with Transformer, Voltron and ThunderCats, oh wait, and Care Bears! *laugh*

So, according to the article and Cartoon Network, the new He-Man series will start airing Sept 13. I definitely need to make sure my VCR timer is working... since it'll be kinda hard to explain to my boss why I need to go home early and stare at a half-naked hunk on tv. *woo hoo!*
Always fill me up and never let me down
I swear, ice-creams are the most addictive food ever, especially the Edy's Chocalate Rasberry Escape. I pulled the 1/2 gallon tub out of the freezer after dinner, with the intention of having only 2 tablespoon. Yeah right. I ended up on the couch, flipping between Teen Choice on Fox (eek, I know I won't be caught dead watching it, but ah well, guilty pleasure) and Monday Night Football on ABC, and by the time the commercials rolled around, I can clearly see the bottom of the tub. Argh!! That wasn't suppose to happen! If it wasn't for the fact that I am lactose intolerant, I might've finished the entire thing.

Male Vocabulary 101
After posting the controversial Female Vocab 101, our dear friend Ricky came out with the very accurate male version. Initially it was in the netcomments, but we aunties think that it deserved it's own blog space. So here goes:
Click me, please!

FINE
It simply means fine!! Okay and hope you never bring up the subject again.

FIVE MINUTES
It's how long sex will last if you keep talking cock.

NOTHING
I am checking out some other chicks close by.

GO AHEAD
Men usually end up regretting ever saying that dreadful word...

LOUD SIGH
Orgasm

SOFT SIGH
Fart

THAT'S OK
You better not do that again.

PLEASE DO
Better be sex after this

THANKS
Yahoo!..... I don't have to pay.

THANKS A LOT
Free dinner... and now...sex! You're an angel.
