cut short
Last night was DJ Gow and Oakenfold at the stl. riversplash event. Although high winds and lightning were affecting their performance, my adrenaline was still pumped up. It was really too bad Oakenfold's performance got cut short, but i'm still so in the mood i can barely sit still at work.

I actually have to stop listening to the trance tracks and switch over to Tori Amos just so that i won't bounce off the roof. Heh.

Hands
My sister has plenty of acheivement albeit her young age. This is one of the things that my sister is completely into, and she's very good at it, and that just made me very proud of her: she's an excellent drummer.

What kind of drums you might ask...

Well, she's into all different drums but one of her better achievement is the Chinese 24 Season Drum. Basically each drum represent a season and a sub-season if you will, and there are 24 seasons in a year. She was the co-captain of the 24 Season Drum team in high school and the team has always put on such an amazing performance at school and inter-school events.

After most of the team graduated, they kept in touch and formed Hand Percussion. They started small but grew quickly overtime. I've only been to one performance but I was blown away by the skills, the sound, and the beat of the drums.

The Hands Percussion are putting on a show called "Dialogue in Skin" from the 22nd - 25th of July. If you're in the K.L. and vicinity, I urge you to go check it out. I would if I could. It's too good to miss. And like my sista said, go support the Malaysia Art Scene!

ps. PY, perhaps you should write and email me an article on the history of the 24 season drum.
