a lesson, a choice at hand
My current "project" at hand is to reorganized My Music folder to get all the files sorted, so when I finally get the Ipod Mini, I'll be ready to transfer everything over. Also, I'm trying to gather all the songs that I want, including some of the top 40 hits. There is a specific song that I got hooked on, and so I debated if I want to buy it via iTunes Store or Napster. I know for a fact that the iTunes Store-bought tracks are all AAC format, but I was unsure if Napster sells those in MP3 or WMA. I really prefered MP3 format just so that all my music files are in the same format. So I decided to take a gamble and go with Napster instead.
The checkout process was easy, but much to my disappointment, the music file came in WMA format instead.
So now this is forcing me to choose - if I want to go the Napster WMA route, or the iTunes AAC route. But ever since I started playing with the iTunes, I've fell in love with it. The ease of organizing everything—from the interface, to the file naming convention, to folder structure—won me over. I guess $0.99 isn't too expensive of a lesson for me to learn which way I want to go from here on.
Sorry napster, you were great, but iTunes was greater. And yes, I am a PC user.
