Comeback
I've started getting my daily feed of news from BBC, ever since Don and Colleen suggested it.

The best thing about getting news from there, other than the less biased views on the war front, is the Sports section. I'm now constantly updated with news on the English Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, Euro Qualifier...

In today's news, McManaman might return to EPL. That would be nice. He is one hell of an entertaining player to watch. As well as Ryan Giggs. Too bad they weren't on my favorite team.

Now I am debating if I want to splurge on the Fox Sports World channel. Does anybody know if there are other channels other than that that carries Football?

----- updated 5.21pm ------
So I just found out that I can tune in to channel 719 when a game is on and order the individual games as pay per view. Now if only I can find enough people that's interested in watching the Liverpool vs. Man Utd. this saturday. It's not cheap either, a game would set me back $16.

----- updated 8.44pm ------
I got home and found out that it is DirecTV free preview weekend, meaning that I'll get all the channels for free from today till sunday. So I'll be up bright at early at 5am tomorrow to watch the game. What a stroke of luck!
The umbrella saga
I brought my umbrella with me this morning, but unfortunately (or fortunately), the geese did not even attempt to hiss at me today.

Talk talk
I was talking to my new manager yesterday and she asked me about my strengths and weaknesses.

I know myself well enough to answer this, and so I told her that I like starting a project. The brainstorming, the design, setting up the process...

Today, as I was browsing some nicely designed sites, I've decided what I want to do for my next personal mission. I'm going to redesign the page. Maybe not presentation wise, but I want to redo the entire site sans-table, using divs and spans. I might even change the design. Don't know about that one yet. I should probably get all the aunties' approval before I change how the site looks.

Oh, I nearly forgot, before that, I have a couple of logos and a site design I need to work on for a couple of friends.

At times like these I enjoy my home work more than my work work. Except that I don't have two 21" monitor at home. I do look forward to 6pm everyday so I can get home and work on my stuff.
Tomorrow
I don't know whether to dread tomorrow or to look forward to it, because I know I'm going to blow a good chunk of my last paycheck on two things I really really want.

I blame it all on West County mall. If it weren't on I270, then I wouldn't drive by it every night on my way home from work.
which color?
Fashion question, what color shoes and socks would go with this color combo?:
Top - Black
Pants - Camel color khakis
Socks - ? color
Shoes - ? color

Running
Pain of any kind is usually no good. But muscle ache, mmmmm, now that's exhilirating.
Shop like a man
Holly's birthday reminded me of growing old, or growing up, for that matter. I just realized that in some ways I've changed. For instance: shopping.

Window shopping no longer appeals to me. I'll do it maybe once in a long while. But not every other weekend. I think I got too many junk catalogs in my mail that everytime I sift through them it statisfies my window shopping cravings without me actually being at the mall or in the store.

This past week, I wanted to get a pair of black pants. I walked into the mall straight towards the store, to the rack where they have the black pants hanging, grabbed the pants my size, tried it, bought it. The whole process lasted no more than 20 minutes. There were tons of sales going on in the store that I saw from the corner of my eye, but I just wasn't motivated to look at any other items beside the black pants.

On monday, I stopped by at DSW to look for a pair of driving mocs. I wanted camel, suede (if I could afford it), studded at the bottom. Now, if any of you have been to DSW, you would know that that place is a black hole that will suck all the shoe-loving female species in. I mean, rows and rows of shoes from formal to casual, sandals to boots to tennis shoes. Before, I would spent a good 45 minutes just browsing and walking up and down the aisles. Not monday, though. I went in there with a mission, camel suede driving mocs. I walked in, scanned the aisles, determined where I need to go, looked at the shoes, no camel suede driving mocs, I'm outta here. The entire shopping process happened in less than 10 minutes.

I should either be proud of myself, or be worried that middle-age is upon me, and I've yet to acknowledge that.
Happy Birthday Holly
Good morning girl. Hope you have a wonderful birthday. It sucks not being there and getting drunk with you. We need to get together soon! Have a good one girl! You're only 20 something once. ;)

My umbrella
I'm mad. I have tears in my eyes. I got attacked by the stupid geese again. At the point it is not even funny. And today is the only day I didn't bring my umbrella because it was suppose to be nice out.

I swear, if it weren't against the corporate rules, I would grab the bird and tie a knot around its neck so that it's head would be dangling sideways. We'll see how far you can go then. Hummph.

What a freakin' great way to start my week.

Channeling
I don't know how to deal with disappointment, and I always take my frustration out at someone else. That someone happened to be Southern Boy. Luckily, we bought tickets to the Dave Chappelle show last night and that managed to put me in good mood for a while.

Today, instead of dwelling in my own sorrow, I busied myself with finishing up my two other sites. I now have my portfolio and my first photoblog up. Thank you very much to Ben who responded so quickly with a new feature request for bloghorn.
