Friday Five
Being the car nut that I am, I'm going to do this week's friday five.

1. What vehicle do you drive?
A 03 VW Jetta 1.8T, platinum grey, tiptronic, with smoked tails, Hofele rear spoiler, 17" wheels, and the works.

2. How long have you had it?
As of right now, I've had the car for 1 year and 3 weeks.

3. What is the coolest feature on your vehicle?
Blue instrument panel lighting, and also, the windows can be control with the switchblade keys.

4. What is the most annoying thing about your vehicle?
Rattle rattle. It's the street in the city.... I never did have that much rattle when I lived in the west county.

5. If money were no object, what vehicle would you be driving right now?
This is easy, a 2004 dolphin grey Audi S4 4.2 6-speed quattro with leather/Silver Alcantara seats and the works. I would also like to start a collection of some older VWs: especially the Corrados. Mmm.
girly time
With the man not being around, I've resorted to indulge myself in some girly stuffs.

Although it's already freezing cold here, Pearly helped me place an order for 5 bikini tops and bottoms from Jcrew. Being the bargain hunter shopaholic, she managed to score these at $4.95 a piece, which is an insanely good price.

Then last night, Kate was nice enough to host a pedicure party. Designerish, A-go-go, Kate and I were pampered to the max: hot water soak, sweet smelling feet wash, luscious cremes, exfoliators... and the list goes on.

Then we painted our toes. I swear, I never have learn the art of painting, because Designerish took one look at my piggies and said, "oh, you need to fix those..."

By the time the evening is over, I left with 10 beautifully painted toes (the cleanup and fixes courtesy of Kate), some new skin mattifier, and a new blush with brush.

It was fun. Too bad it's already too cold to wear sandals to work.

car spotting
Kat said I need to post more often. Well here goes.

It was a good day for car spotting. Right after lunch, on manchester, P.C. and I were walking back to his car, and lo and behold, what do we see parked right next to it? the new E55 AMG!!! That beast is insane, with a supercharged V8. We circled around the car, stared at it for quite a bit, then reluctantly pulled away. On our way back, we spotted another gold: an prestine red MG, with plates that said: MY57MG.

My heat's still beating like crazy.
cheapskate
Woke up this morning to a very chilly bedroom, I glanced over to my clock with a thermostat and it read 6.49am, 62°F. Another chilly day like today would throw me over the edge and have me turning my heater on the minute I get home.

But then again, that's what I've been telling myself for the past couple of days. But till this point, I still don't have the heat on.

new toy
After putting some insane number of miles on my precious Jetta, I have to rethink my leased car strategy and just fork out some money to buy one right out.

Leasing was great for my previous lifestyle, but then I fell in love with driving the Jetta everywhere, and soon my mileage was going way over the leased limit.

I've been keeping my eyes open for a new toy, and while I probably won't do anything within the next 3-4 months, I'm highly anticipating the Special Edition Jetta 337 (for the lack of a better name, but I'm sure it'll be renamed before it's launched). With a 6 speed 1.8T engine, I can see some real potential in the new Jetta. *drools*
