Stupid Spam
Guess what I got in my many spam emails today, this: You Can Be Taller - At Any Age. When you're tall, people look up to you. Rise above generics. Works for adults!

Apparently the target marketing worked. They got the right audience, me. I barely clear 5' 3 1/2" with heels, and stand at about 5'1" with my comfy flats. I wonder how these people got my email address, come to think of it, the only time I bought petite clothings online was from Banana Republic.

But geesh, would being short make me an inferior person? No! Why would I want to change my height? Ya know, the more I think of it the more infuriated I get. This email falls along the same line as those enlarge your penis, boost your boobs spam mails. I am offended. Now fuck off and stop sending me spam mail.

This is not the greatest song in the world, this is just a tribute.
Have you ever had a conversation with a friend, a conversation so deep, that your eyes are open wide in anticipation of the things he's gonna say? and your heart skips a beat, knowing that it's true friendship you've found?

I have this friend, incredibly smart, not just book smart, but experience smart. Chatting with him is very enlightening. He is how I see myself in 3-5 years. He's been through some of the things that I am going through. And I've been frustrated for so long, because none of my other friends are going through what I'm putting myself through (granted, none of them are as rebellious, or had my kind of childhood, I'm not bad, I'm just rebellious...) Although I could talk it out with my friends, and they'll listen, but I'll still be frustrated, because even if they know where I was coming from, they have no idea where I was going. So, to have someone that shared similar life experience, and thus in a way 'mentoring' me through my formation years, is really priceless. You know who you are. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

He-Man 101
Angeline and I managed to catch the beginning episodes of He-Man this weekend and realized that we had forgotten some aspects of the show. So to benefit all of us (especially me), I’ve researched Cartoon Network to put together a little synopsis of the cartoon series and its characters.

Synopsis:
When Skeletor and his evil minions threaten the world of Eternia, a new hero rises to protect the land: He-Man, the most powerful manin the universe. Granted an incredible gift by the oracle known as The Sorceress, Prince Adam transforms into the mighty He-Man when he holds the Sword of Power aloft and utters the words “By the power of Grayskull.” Together with his allies, Man-At-Arms, Teela, Ram Man and an assortment of other herioc warriors, He-Man battles to defend Eternia, a place where sorcery and science intertwine to create a world of technological wonder and barbaric magic.

Characters:
Defenders of the Universe:
Prince Adam / He-Man, Man-At-Arms, The Sorceress, Teela, Orko, Ram Man, Stratos, Man-E-Faces, Mekanek, Cringer / Battle Cat

Evil:
Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Tri-Klops, Beastman, Trap-Jaw, Merman, Clawful, Whiplash, Panthor

Def Poetry
It was the usual sit-my-ass-in-front-of-the-TV saturday night, there weren't anything interesting showing on the network TV, and so it was channel flipping time. Watched The Glass House on HBO for a bit, and then Def Poetry came on.

I was completely blown away. Completely. These Def Poets are awesome. Their style, their words....was so powerful you don't even know what hit you. You all with HBO should definitely check it out.
