what's going on?
Too much stuff happening and not enough time to enjoy it all... that's what it is. Just as luck would have it, work has been crazy... good kind of busy, so I'm glad. But the downside is I have my best friends in town, and I want to spend time with them, but I get so exhausted after work I just want to sit and rot on the couch ;)

Pearly, you should be proud of me for eating well this week. Mike made dinners three days in a row, and I have had some real home cook meals! What a rarity. And Elaine was kind enough to do the dishes... I feel like I'm so spoilt! At least for a week.

Holly will be driving to STL saturday afternoon, and this will be the last 'reunion' for a while, and it's her birthday as well. So it's all kinda bittersweet.

And not to forget I have to attend Colleen's "The Bridal Shower / Bachelorette Party of the year!" I can't wait!

So yeah, it's good to be busy, and on top of that, I get to talk to my man on the phone at night now, which is awesome. After writing 100 pages of letters for the past 6 weeks, I've learn to appreciate every phone call more.

this is your day
Once upon a time back in 1984, I was good friend with this girl Pearly, we went to the same schools, lived a mile away from each other and hung out together all the time. Then she moved to toronto for college, and i to kentucky for mine, we sort of lost touch, and probably only spoke to each once every year. I missed her a whole lot, but never did attempt to contact her.

Back in october last year i hit a rough patch in my life, Pearly found out and was there for me through out everything. She stayed on the phone and listened to my sobs, she called me up everynight to make sure I eat right, she shared her valuable life stories with me, and everywhere I turn, she was there for me. We played catch up and updated each other on what we missed out for the past four years. If there is a silver lining in my life then, it's her friendship.

Now we talk at least 4 times a week, she's my best friend, and now, my personal shopper, and fashion advisor as well. She's there for me everyday.

Today is her special day, and I want to dedicate this to her. It is an honor to be your best friend, and *ahem* your MOH ;)! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! You are absolutely the best! *HUGS*
