To answer your question Holly, here's an article I found on
InStyle.com:
Hair Threading:
Threading is an ancient form of hair removal that is widely practiced in various parts of Asia. It involves 100 percent-cotton thread, which is twisted and pulled along a row (as opposed to a single strand) of unwanted hair. Like tweezing, threading lifts out hair directly from the follicle and it requires two or three swipes per brow. As far as pain goes, the sensation is similar to tweezing, but skin is not as irritated afterward. Costs range from $6-$35 and results last two to eight weeks (about the same as waxing). Though it's fast, precise and relatively painless, salons that offer threading are hard to find in the U.S. because so few aestheticians are qualified to do it.

When you go to Malaysia the next time, I'll tell you where to go get your eyebrows threaded. I've managed to convince Elaine that she should definitely try it out when she visits home in a month. *laugh* I'll like to see Elaine's verdict then. Dang, I've recommended that place to so many people that I should get free threading there. Not that it costs a whole lot. It's only RM$5 for eyebrows, and RM$7 for upper lips, RM$12 for whole face.
ps. Thanks SW for bringing Pearly and I there. We've since been addicted to it. Too bad there aren't that many salons that do this here.
