Ambiguous dykes
I stumbled across this quiz while blog-surfing, and thought this was pretty interesting. Now, by no means am I one, but nonetheless, if I were, it'd be interesting to see which "type" I'd be. :) The best thing is that after you get your results, you can just copy all the strings into blogger! Ain't that sweet?

STLVW
I was browsing the net for blog updates after dinner, and as usual I will browse through my frequent reads list. I clicked on STLVW and badabingbadaboom, I saw this and it made me burst out laughing! This was taken by yours truly when we had that impromptu bloggers meetup at Culpepper's. You picked a good one to put on the site Don!

To be or not to be... myself
Received an email from Don this morning, it was an invitation to the Fall Halloween Bash at his haunted mansion. The last time I went to a really dressed-up Halloween party was way back during college in Lexington, so I'm really excited.

Now comes the part that excites every women but baffles every men: "what should I wear?"

I want to dress up as one of my alter egos. Witch seemed to be too common. Maybe Wednesday Addams? Or Morticia? Hmmm. If you readers have any suggestions, please feel free to comment. Don't suggest any Transformer or Voltron outfit, coz I won't dig that :) I want something that's 'me' ... I look forward to reading your suggestions!! Thanks.

A new beginning
When I first moved to St. Louis 2 1/2 years ago, I didn't know if I should dread the move, or welcome the change. I loved the idea of moving to a bigger city, since I've spent 3++ years in Lexington. I'm such a big city girl, and while Lexington is great for school, it's just too dead for me. So I graduated, found a job in St. Louis, packed my bags, sold everything else off, and hitched a ride with my friend to St. Louis.

I settled down quietly, it was hard, I didn't know anybody except for Chris. My social life was limited. I was bored. I debated moving on to a bigger city soon. Somewhere in the east coast, since Pearly is in NJ. Maybe D.C., Philly, or Boston.

Fast-forward to present day >>

I still recall the first time I went to the first Blog.Meetup. I was nervous, I nearly chickened out. But I know if I needed to turn my life around and be more socially active, I have to do this. It turned out really well, I made some friends, went to more blog.meetup after that, and was pleasantly surprised that the STL Blogger community was so much fun.

The Culpeppers Impromptu Meetup was one of the best time I had, especially considering the fact that I was meeting a bunch of people I have never met, yet I felt like I know them through their blogs. In fact, we had so much fun that Mae even organized Blogger's Bowling! I am definitely excited. :)

So, in closing, I want to thank Ben and all those that helped make the STL Bloggers idea a reality. This marks the beginning of many good times to come.

Down the drain
I had an extended lunch coma yesterday afternoon because I loaded myself up with some good old homemade italian meatloaf for lunch. So I was exhausted when I finally got out of the office to meet up with Eric at the driving range. After an hour of fruitless attempts to hit a nice shot, I went to Mid-America Motors to get the plates for my new car, and then drove home.

Due to extreme fatigue, I probably didn't pay a whole lot of attention to what I was doing, cause I washed my contacts down the drain. Now, I don't wear disposables, I have full blown astigmatism, and I needed the Rigid Gas Permeable lenses that cost a whole lot more than soft contacts.

I was disappointed. Those were new - I got them only 6 months ago. They're suppose to last for 2-3 years. Grrrrr. Oh well, let it be a lesson learned, I guess. *shrug*

Bad karma!! ... no, perspective.
It's karma, I tell you! Got ditched for lunch, so I decided to run errands. Well, now that I think about it, It didn't turn out to be too bad, coz I got to mail Angeline's stuff as well as get some items from Walmart that I've needed to get for way too long now (i.e. Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner). Then I had to drive by Wendy's to get a Mandarin Chicken Salad coz I didn't want to deal with the hassle of spilling fries all over my car. Hmmm ... I guess that's a good thing too, coz at least I didn't down all those calories that would've come with my regular grilled chicken combo with fries and root beer. And speaking of root beer ... *argh* I just spilled it all over the floor in my office. Thank goodness it didn't get on my pants or anything, I just had to spend like 10 minutes bounty-ing it all up and setting my space heater directly in front of it to dry up. Now I don't have anything to drink except for water. Well, I guess it's a good thing coz that diet-free root beer would've cost me at least 150 calories.

Hmmmm ... I guess it's not so much karma when you put it in the right perspective. :)

Great Day, Fine Wine, Awesome Company
Saturday was a blast, I got together with a couple of friends and headed out to the Mt. Pleasant Winery, about a 45 mins drive outside of St. Louis. I couldn't ask for a better way to spend my weekends...

Chatted with couple of new friends, and found out that we have some common interest and background, and decided that we should definitely hang out more. I'm really looking forward to that.

Pictures (Day at the Winery) are up on Don's site.

Oh, and yeah, Melissa, the ice-wine was really, really good. I blew $35 on that. :p
