Blue Jeans
Does your workplace allow you to wear jeans to work?

I used to work for a small company of 30 people, and there were really no strict dress code. I dressed in suits when I feel like it, or when it's chilly out there, or I can slip on a comfy pair of flare jeans with my heels.

When the company got bought over by my current company (read: big corporate america), the casual dress code has been completely abolished. Denim/Jeans are no longer allowed. So now I basically live in black pants.

Why the sudden obsession with jeans, you ask? Well, because every freakin fashion magazine is running stories and style tip on denim this month!!! Oh well, I think I'm going to take a shower, put on my denim skirt, and go run some errands.

To my annoyance
I have this incredibly annoying habit of cutting people off mid-sentence. Sometimes I consciously stop myself, sometimes my tongue just takes it own course.

We were having a discussion meeting this afternoon about Androgogy vs. Pedagogy. It was a good discussion and Helen was a good moderator, and I just have tons of questions and crap to throw out there. I think I interrupted everyone in the group at least once in that brief half hour discussion. See, I always felt like if I don't express my throughts the minute they are formulated, I'll either forget what they are 30 seconds later, or my courage to speak up is gone.

This is just an uphill battle. One of these day I might just bite my tongue so I can shut the hell up.
Ya-Ya, Side-tracked
I went to the movie theatre on tuesday night to catch the chick flick of all chick flicks: Divine Secrets Of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I really didn't have high hopes for it, having not read the book and not heard any reviews about it. The movie turned out to be pretty good. Lines were well written, and the flashbacks were clear and not confusing at all. The great thing about this movie is that, while I was driving home after the movie, I thought about Elaine, Holly, and Diana. The movie reminds me of the power of friendship, and I couldn't ask for better friends than the three best friends that I already have. Hoorah for the 4 Aunties!!! *Muaks*

My big plan tonight was to stay home, have dinner, and work on the computer. My agenda: watch American Idols, ESPY Awards (which I totally forgotten till it was too late), add blogrolling, guestbook to the site, and update the gallery. I ended up rearranging the chatterbox and re-aligning some of the elements, which seemed so minor but by the time I was done, it was almost 2am!!

Dang. I'll probably have to stop by St. Louis Bread Co. tomorrow morning for that I.C. Mocha that I've been craving all week. Need to catch some sleep now. Night night people.

All Good Thing Must Come To An End
It's over. The weekend is almost gone. Holly, Elaine, and Mike started their drive home back to Louisville and Lexington at about 2pm, and then I sent Chris to the airport at about 4pm. It took me all my strength to hold back my tears... but it was harder than I thought it would be.

On another note: I think my car is jinxed. Something happened to it again this weekend - a nail got into the sidewall of the rear tire. None of us noticed anything till we came out from Silky's Sundae yesterday. Needless to say, I blew another $240 for new tires at NTB, I was feeling quite bad for a while there but to think of it, my old tires probably have about 5000 miles left in them, and they definitely need to be changed before winter comes, oh well, just my luck.

Speaking of luck, I think I need to consult my feng shui book again and make sure my apt decor isn't messing up the effectiveness of the feng shui. *now now, don't roll your eyes people.* :p
